English as Second Language Classes - 2023
BSP’s English as a Second Language (ESL) program provides workers with the opportunity to gain the language skills they need to navigate their workplace and community. This general ESL class allows students to learn basic literacy skills, including reading, writing, listening, and conversational skills. The ESL class is offered virtually during varying schedules that allow workers to join on their own time.
PARTICIPANTS LEARN:
How to use emails for work and daily life - sending and receiving emails in English to make requests, report problems, and communicate with their supervisor at work, as well as talk to their doctor or children’s school teacher
How to navigate English learning websites they can use to learn on their own, outside of class
How to fill out Google forms, check local newspapers and classified ads, and fill out job and school applications
How to fill out online forms and find information online
How to use Google Maps, Google Drive, Spreadsheets and Docs
