College & Community Resource Fair

BSP organized a College & Community Resource Fair for LA families

BSP hosted a College & Community Resource Fair at the Los Angeles SEIU-USWW office. Property service workers and families engaged in activities focused on navigating the educational system, trade skill opportunities, and scholarships geared towards informing the community about how they can become involved in their children’s education to help make their college dreams a reality.

The community event helped workers and their families progress towards the goal of social, civic, and economic integration in society.

BSP hosted a variety of organizations to talk to workers and families about how to access higher education resources. Lead organizations including Innovate Public Schools, Los Angeles Fire Department, Los Angeles City College, Labor Community Services, LAX Aviation, PIQE, UCLA Labor Studies, SEIU United Service Workers West, and Women In Non Traditional Employment Roles offered information to the community. Food was also given to attendees; this was a valuable resource to those that need them the most.

A wholehearted thank you to the Carnegie Corporation of New York and University of Southern California Good Neighbors for making this event possible!
