Leticia, a property service worker in LA

Leticia is a dedicated property service worker in Southern California, who has been working as a janitor for the past 20 years.

Originally from Mexico, she came to the United States in pursuit of a better life for herself and her family. Recognizing the importance of taking control of her finances, Leticia eagerly embraced the opportunity to seek guidance and support from Building Skills Partnership’s Financial Capability program. The program equipped her with the tools and knowledge she needed to navigate her financial challenges.

The financial coaching sessions provided by BSP offered a much-needed roadmap. Through personalized coaching she created a personalized budget, identified areas to cut back, and explored debt reduction strategies.

Reflecting on her experience, Leticia shares, "It helped me get out of my debts quickly." Leticia’s commitment towards coaching yielded impressive results. She steadily decreased her debt, gaining control of her financial future. "The coaching was very good help," she expressed her gratitude, "I was very happy to receive financial coaching."

Today, Leticia represents the power of financial education and coaching in empowering individuals to build a secure future. Her story serves as inspiration to others facing similar challenges, demonstrating that with the right guidance, and determination, financial freedom is within reach.

A sincere thank you to our supportive partners, KYCC, United Way of Greater LA, and the Siemer Institute for making BSP’s Financial Capabilities programs possible!
