Health Equity Symposium
Building Skills Partnership is proud to offer Health and Wellness programs to property service workers throughout California and offers comprehensive, linguistically and culturally competent training & education that equips workers from low-wage industries and their families to lead healthy lives.
In the Spring of 2024, BSP had the opportunity to participate in the 23rd Annual UCLA Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Equity Symposium at The California Endowment. The symposium provided a chance to learn from leading experts at the intersection of alcohol and health and understand the impact of alcohol in the communities served by BSP programs.
Additionally, BSP’s health educator presented key findings, impact and success of their Men’s Chronic Condition Program– a curriculum that aims to address both the health behavior gaps among male janitors as well as the relationship between mental health and the prevention of chronic conditions such as cancer, alcohol misuse and chronic pain.
Thank you UCLA Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Equity for this amazing opportunity!
