BSP programs have made a positive impact for Cindy Ayala

BSP Mike Garcia Scholarship recipient, Cindy Ayala offers this testimonial on the impact of BSP programs:

"As the daughter of an SEIU-United Service Workers West member, I have had the opportunity to be part of the programs that BSP offers and was especially fortunate to be a recipient of the Mike García Scholarship multiple times. The Mike García Scholarship was the first BSP program in which I was a part of. The scholarship helped me financially. I graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a Bachelors of International Business in December 2023.

In 2020, I volunteered in the Digital Navigators Program. Where, not only did I help children of members learn how to use different mobile apps so that they could teach their parents how to use them, but I was also a Digital Navigator myself.

BSP has not only supported me through its scholarship program, but also became a U.S. Citizen in March 2023 thanks to BSP's Citizenship program and their partnership with Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights.

Obtaining a scholarship with BSP not only benefits you with financial help, but also opens doors to job opportunities. BSP shares information with scholarship recipients about internship opportunities available.

In 2022, I got an internship opportunity with Strategy Workplace Communications through BSP and now I work full-time as an administrator. I encourage members and children of members of SEIU-USWW to be part of any of the BSP programs. Thank you BSP for all the good opportunities and support."
