Oracle Workers’ GJEP Graduation

Latina women in group holding certificates in a office building in Redwood City

Congrats to these amazing property service workers at Oracle in Redwood City who graduated from BSP's Green Janitor Education Program. The program provides hands-on energy management and green cleaning training earning janitors a seat at the sustainability table while reducing the carbon footprint of buildings.

Service by Medallion's team Trino Cardenas, Mark Cornish, and Kyle Hartz enthusiastically joined the event and provided lunch to the graduates, making this day even more special.

During the ceremony, Nataly Valdivieso Berg, BSP Workforce Development Coordinator - East Bay, created a special section where three students presented a recycling project. They explained how they came up with the project, and why recycling was important in their lives and the community.

Thank you to Rosa Celis, Estela Rueda, and Maria Denise Monge for their lovely projects.

Similarly, student Rosemary Cortez shared her experience about how BSP's classes helped her become a leader in sharing green cleaning practices with other women working independently in the industry at her apartment building.

BSP is grateful to our industry partners for bringing educational opportunities to workers in California.

A sincere thanks to Service by Medallion for their partnership!

BSP is grateful for our industry employer partners that enable our organization to connect with workers and facilitate programs.

This collaboration improves the quality of life for janitorial service workers by providing them a chance to enhance their professional skills, access education, and experience opportunities for career and community advancement.
